“…The owners knocked down the first parts of the wall around 8:30pm that same evening. I had just finished eating dinner and heard rallying cries outside the balcony sliding doors. I hurried out to the patio and pushed aside the banner, which was wildly rustling in the restless wind. A group of about six owners were chanting. Foremen and some workers were pressing at the protestors. Blue-suited security personnel milled about in confusion. Riot-control had not been a part of their training…”
